Edgecombe is expected to lead Team Vince against Team Melo, who reached the Finals courtesy of San Antonio Spurs guard Dylan Harper’s game-winner.
The first team to reach 25 points will take home the trophy.
The fast-paced game is a perfect fit for the 20-year-old Edgecombe, who has been a whirling dervish in his rookie season. His backcourt pairing with 76ers star Tyrese Maxey has been thrilling to watch. It’s as if they were born to play with each other.
Some of Edgecombe’s aerial attacks were likely inspired by Carter, who had some bitter battles with the 76ers during his tenure, including the conference finals in 2001.
