A new rumor about WWE’s plans for WrestleMania 42 will surely have a lot of fans eyeing a top title shot on SmackDown.
We’re officially on our way to WrestleMania 42, and WWE is starting to plan the two-night event in April. When it comes to the top women’s titles, Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan is on a collision course with Women’s World Champion Stephanie Wacker.
So what does this mean for WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill? Well, it looks like she may have to face the two women who fought for the title she currently holds at WrestleMania 41. According to a new edition of Wrestle Votes Radio, Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton are internally seen as potential opponents for Cargill at WrestleMania.
Flair and Cargill will be a new pairing. However, there are many fans who wouldn’t be thrilled with the idea of him being involved in another world title match at WWE’s biggest annual event. Stratton is the woman Cargill beat to win the title in November. Much of the WWE Universe will also be eyeing a continuation of that rivalry after fans saw few matches last year.
Bianca Belair is WWE’s preferred choice to face Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42

According to Wrestle Votes Radio, Flair and Stratton are not who they originally thought would face Cargill at WrestleMania. WWE reportedly expected Cargill to face the women she held the Women’s Tag Titles with, Bianca Belair, in 2024.
The five-time Women’s World Champion has been out of action for the past nine months after suffering a finger injury in their Triple Threat Title match at WrestleMania 41. Various reports have revealed that he has struggled to fully recover from the injury. However, recent rumors point to them being brought back in some way for the April schedule.
