It looks like Pittsburgh Steelers great Joey Porter has no love for his former teammate Ben Roethlisberger.
Roethlisberger is viewed as an icon not only for the Steelers, but also in Pittsburgh pro sports. During 18 memorable seasons as the Steelers’ starting quarterback, the 11th overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft led the team to not one, not two, but three Super Bowls. Winning two of those games.
But in addition to winning a pair of championships in the Steel City, he is the great franchise’s leader in wins (165), yards (64,088), and touchdowns (418). Suffice it to say, Roethlisberger is Steelers royalty for what he has done while wearing the black and gold.
Due to his impressive success, the 43-year-old is considered one of the great leaders in team history, as you can’t get that many wins as a QB without a strong leader. Well, probably not. During a new appearance on Cam Hayward not just football podcast, Joey Porter criticized the man with whom he was teammates for three seasons and who he helped win a Super Bowl in 2005.
Joey Porter calls Ben Roethlisberger an awesome person and teammate

Porter said, “He should never hold a microphone and actually talk about Steeler business.” “If we’re talking Steelers business, his a** is all foul to foul. The shit he did is all foul to foul. He’s not a good teammate. Won a Super Bowl with him, but that guy? He’s just not a good teammate.
He said, “He knows it. Anybody in the Steeler building knows it. But we protected him because I’ve only won one Super Bowl, and he was my quarterback.” “So do I love my quarterback? Yes. But is he a good person? No.”
Porter also claimed that before Roethlisberger’s arrival in 2004, the team usually voted on team captains. However, when he was named the starting QB, the coaches automatically made him team captain because they knew his teammates would not vote for him to become one.
Porter claimed, “If he hadn’t been the captain, he probably would have got a big blow.” “No one will vote for him as captain because he does not have the qualities of a captain.”
