Swedish side AIK have requested a loan as they have still not received their share of Alexander Isak’s move liverpool.
AIK CEO Fredrik Söderberg comments on football STHM reports today. He confirmed that the club has turned to financial association Den Svarta Musson for help.
isaac money delayed
Football STHM explains that Den Svarta Masan is a financial association where AIK supporters can support their club by buying shares.
The association has sponsored Swedish clubs for various causes since 2012 and has lent money, assisting with any financial difficulties. It also gave AIK a loan of five million kroner in 2025, the last time they did so.
Now due to financial difficulties AIK has asked again. AIK want to borrow 10 million kronor, as FIFA has not paid its share of Alexander Isak’s move to Liverpool last summer.
AIK are owed 33 million kroner, approximately £2.64 million, from that deal due to FIFA’s solidarity scheme. But FIFA has delayed the payment after changing the rules in the payment system.
Earlier both the clubs involved used to pay each other directly but now it is done through ‘FIFA Bank’. According to AIK this means it takes longer. Now they need to cover themselves as the delays continue.
Loan application confirmed
AIK CEO Fredrik Soderberg confirmed the news to Football Stalm.
“AIK FF has applied for a loan and this is due to a significant delay in the payment of solidarity compensation by the FIFA Clearing House,” he said.
“For us, this is important because the club will receive a large fee from the sale of Alexander Isak. FIFA is owed a total of 33 million SK, and we don’t know when they will pay it. Of that amount, 75% will go to AIK FF.”
Dane Svarta Mason will now decide whether to lend the money or not. The association would probably say yes. The members approved the last loan application with an almost unanimous majority.
This will likely follow suit, which will help AIK as they wait for their piece of Alexander Isak’s mega move to Liverpool last summer.
