Ex-NBA player Royce White expresses his support for Jayden Ivey after he is waived Chicago Bulls Following his anti-LGBTQ comments on Monday.

However, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), White joined other notable names in calling out the Bulls and the league for making a decision that went against Ivy’s freedom of speech. While the former player is making a point, he is also using the situation to garner votes for his upcoming midterm election campaign in November.
“Boom…freedom of speech? You now have to support sucking dick to play in the NBA? What a blow this is to American culture! Get it, massive blow? Seriously, can we reel this in? What’s even that?” White tweeted.
While Jaden Ivey had the right to say whatever he wanted, he was still under contract with the team and his comments likely violated some rules. Therefore, his release, while controversial, was likely because his statements were considered damaging by the Bulls front office.
