Luke Littler’s dream of signing Angelo Stiller for Manchester United could be a pipe dream if BILD is to be believed.
The German newspaper reported on the 24-year-old VfB Stuttgart midfielder today. And it looks like Littler’s dream of seeing him at Old Trafford will not be fulfilled.
The darts champion went viral this week when he was asked at the Darts Premier League in Berlin who his favorite German footballer was. His answer was Stiller. He then added a transfer request to Stuttgart Star.
“Come United! Please, come to us! We need help. Casemiro is leaving us,” He said. Interestingly, Stiller saw the clip and liked it.

According to BILD, there’s something in the request, too. They report that the Red Devils made contact with Angelo Stiller last summer in the hope of signing him in the final stages of the transfer window.
But Manchester United were rejected. The Stuttgart midfielder did not want to leave the cup winners. His main goal at that time was to remain a key player and make it to the World Cup.
He is not working at the moment. Although he is a key player at Stuttgart, the question is whether he will make it into the Germany team. Hopefully he will be able to take advantage of his opportunity during this international break.
Playing on the big stage will also give him a chance to showcase his skills at the top clubs in the world.
Manchester United’s interest calmed down
This is necessary because BILD also reported that no club has recently expressed concrete interest in Angelo Stiller to VfB.
This includes Manchester United’s need for a new midfielder and despite their efforts last summer. However, a report in November said they remained keen.
